Inheritance by Christopher Paolini #1

"Death, he had come to believe, was a corrosive thing, and the more he was around it, the more it gnawed away at who he was."

This made me sad.

It also reminds me of being in Beijing. The lack of common courtesy rots my soul and infects me with impatience, cruelty and a lack of regard for the needs of strangers.

I'm worried I'll come back to America and be a big douche bag.

Happy New Year.
