“Words are the only bullets in truth’s bandolier. And poets are the snipers.”
This line changed my entire perspective on poetry.
I still don't understand half the crap poets write but now I want to.
Words are so incredibly important. I'm not only saying that because it's my job to line them up in interesting ways.
The quality of our languages define our existence. That's half the reason I keep track of lines that strike me while reading.
The more limited our vocabulary the less rich our lives can be.
Also, bandolier makes me think of Chewbacca.
